Terms and Conditions

FEE is for hiring a candidate accessed through the Talentbird resume database or through a direct referral from Talentbird, within one year of introduction.

Fee Schedule:

permanent hire
10% of candidate's annual compensation
contracts < 6 months
15% of compensation for duration of contract
< 3 months
20% of compensation for duration of contract

Fees for contract extensions or conversion to permanent are pro-rated accordingly, for example:

  • 3 Month contract at $15,000 - fee is 20% = $3000.
  • Extend to 6 months at $30,000 - fee is 15% = $4500 – balance owing is $1500
  • Converted to permanent at $60,000 - fee is 10% = $6000 – balance owing is $3000
  • 6 Month contract at $30,000 - fee is 15% = $4500
  • Convert to permanent at $60,000 - fee is 10% = $6000 – balance owing is $1500

NOTE: all contract hires are on the client's payroll. Talentbird does not payroll any candidates.

References:

References will be checked and provided to the client

Invoice:

Invoice will be issued on the candidate's start date

Late Penalty: If the invoice is not paid within 30 days, there will be a penalty of an additional 2% of the candidate's annual or contract compensation added monthly, until the invoice is paid.

Guarantee:

We will replace a permanent candidate who leaves within the first three months, without cause by the employer.

We will replace a permanent candidate that the employer releases within the first three months, under certain conditions.

This guarantee is conditional on the employer reporting to Talentbird, by email, on the performance of the candidate on the following schedule: 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months and 10 weeks. Based on these performance reviews, Talentbird will have the opportunity to discuss performance issues with the candidate and the employer with a view to addressing concerns, discussing opportunities for performance improvement or other mutually acceptable resolution.

In both cases the fee will be pro-rated for the time actually worked.

Liability of Talentbird: None

The Fee for service from Talentbird is based on the employer hiring a candidate accessed from the Talentbird database or referred by Talentbird. The employer is ultimately responsible for interviewing the selected candidate, reviewing the candidate's education, skills, experience and organizational fit and making the decision to hire.

Client Credit Check: No

Your financial business is none of our business.

Confidentiality:

Any and all information about the client, other than that necessary to provide to a prospective candidate regarding the nature of the position, the type of work required by the client, the names of designated contacts in the organization, will be safeguarded to the best of our ability.

Rules of Engagement

Any and all offers of employment will be transmitted through Talentbird. Offers of Employment will not be made directly to candidates sourced through Talentbird.

Passwords for access to the Talentbird resume database will not be shared.

Information about candidates will not be divulged to anyone outside of the client organization.

Employers may not turn down a candidate sourced through Talentbird and then make a direct offer of employment to the candidate, within a year of introduction of the candidate from Talentbird.

The invoice from Talentbird for a hired candidate will be submitted on the candidate's due date and will be paid upon receipt.

It is important that the lines of communication remain open during the recruitment process. Please ensure that you and/or your designates are available for communication regarding a candidate under consideration.
